Accessibility for our Tours and Tea Parties

We would very much like to encourage people with disabilities to join us at our events.

The Victoria and Albert Museum, where we hold both our textile talks, is fully accessible. Please visit their website for full information:-

Wheelchairs are available for visitors to borrow, and can be found in the Lobby. It is advisable to telephone the museum in advance to ensure their availability on the date of your visit.

Our walking tours take approximately 150 minutes in total, spent strolling through only a few of the many galleries in the museum. We climb up through the museum levels during the tour, but lifts are available for wheelchair users and for those who find stairs difficult to manage.

We take a brief break during the tour and will try to sit down during this time- subject to other museum users and availability of seating. Fold-up stools are also usually available within galleries for visitors to borrow during their visit, to carry with them around the galleries, but please bear in mind that we will be moving from item to item during the tour, and not staying in one location for very long.

Restaurant/Hotel

Our Lace Tea Parties take place in various locations. Ideally we would only use fully accessible locations, but London is a city with many old buildings, and we are limited to venues able to host events such as ours.

Please contact us in advance regarding accessibility for specific locations and we will do our best to assist with this.
